The Global Health Unit (GHU) at NHS England aims to strengthen health systems and services in England and across the world through international exchanges. There is also a severe shortage of specialist doctors in areas around the world. Excellence in clinical and professional leadership forms the cornerstone of healthcare delivery & development. The International Workforce team at NHS England is keen to promote initiatives that add to the quality and quantity of global healthcare leadership.

The IoM is delighted to work with NHS England Global Health to offer an innovative and pioneering medical specialism pathway for both International and UK-based (home) postgraduate doctors. This postgraduate programme is closely aligned with the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan 2023 and the work of the NHS Global Health Unit.
